    About this index

This is the main index for all the pages added since I rebooted the site in 2025. There's several with dates older than that, but that's because those are mostly copies of posts I made in various Facebook groups that I'm copying onto my own site, or unfinished stories that I plan to work on again in the future.

Other indexes: archives index, tags index.

    Depression Rollercoaster 2019-11-13 10:37

Depression doesn't just ramp up the negative emotions, it ramps up every emotion. Riding the emotional rollercoaster that comes with every depressive episode can be confusing, terrifying, and oddly exciting (as strange as that sounds.) I know this doesn't seem to have too much to do with relationships which is the overall theme of this page, but reflecting on our personal headspace can definitely help us with our interpersonal relationships as well. When you're riding the emotional rollercoaster, you may be taking others along with you. Some may get in the car willingly to hold your hand during the scariest parts. Others might simply be standing too close as you swoop down during a low section, and get caught by your danging arm. Now they're holding on for dear life, hoping you can let them go. Maybe I'm taking this metaphor a bit far, but I'm still looking for a platform so I can get off this ride.

    Jealousy in context 2019-03-06 16:02

So, before we can explore the toxic topic of "jealousy as a virtue", I guess we need to get a firm grasp of jealousy as a concept.

    Asynchronous/Asymmetrical Attraction 2017-08-20 10:33

This is going to be a large topic, so I’m going to split it into a few parts to make it easier to write. In our interpersonal relationships, not everyone involved is always going to have the same attractions towards each other. They may be out of sync, or asynchronous; they may be completely different shapes, or asymmetrical. There are many variations on this theme, but probably the most famous is unrequited love. Songs, movies, and social movements have been born from this one seemingly simple topic. I don’t think it’s quite as simple as most depictions would make it seem though.

    Theory of Attraction 2017-06-25 09:00

This was originally posted in multiple parts, but I prefer them to be together this time.

    Summer of Wonder 2012-04-28 12:25

I remember it like it was yesterday. Isn't that what they always say? Honestly, my memories aren't quite as good as all that. Some of it may even be a bit foggy now, but most of it still pretty vivid. I don't think I'll ever forget that summer; it was a summer of discovery, a summer of magic, a summer of wonder.

    Shade Poetry 2008-07-04 17:00

This is a collection of poetry written between 1993 and 2008. This collection is complete, so if I write more poems in the future, they will be added to a different collection.
