Now the establishment and their form of psychology have many concepts and terms that they use in their profession. These concepts, while having many inacurate definitions do apply in New Era Psychology also.
However to show the difference between their meanings in the psychology of the establishment versus New Era Psychology, I will now display many common concepts and their meanings.
Classiciations. This is a concept in which a group of people who have similar attributes are classified into a single group. This is an inacurate way of looking at people and has caused hatred and discrimination for many centuries. Classifying people is not the way to understand people. It is better to realize that everyone has their own unique attributes and that no two people are exactly the same.
Attributes. In regular psychology attributes are what are used to judge people and to classify them into a predefined stereotype. In New Era Psychology we do not look at classifications or stereotypes but instead understand that everyone has different attributes, and that you cannot group people together because of similar attributes because everyone is unique.
Preference, Orientation, Deviance, etc. Well these are the forms of classifications that regular psychology tries to pin onto a person's lifestyle, sexuality, personality, and other traits. However none of these terms are used in New Era psychology because they are stereotypes that think they can classify people into groups based on similar attributes. Once again this is like trying to classify people by race when the majority of people on earth are a mixture of various racial backgrounds. Isn't it enough to know that we are all human?
Disorders. This is the most misused term in mainstream psychology. They use disorders to describe anything that they cannot understand and do not accept. Yes, there are some people who have mental disabilities and some mental illnesses (psychotics, depressents, schitofrenics, etc.) but there are many people who are thrown into this category simply because they are not understood or accepted by the establishment (like many of the people in the classifications as portrayed in the previous paragraph.) I make it perfectly clear, there is a difference between a life threatening mental disorder in a person, and personal attributes that may not be understood or accepted by the establishment. The first is a problem, and is mentally or physically harming the person. The second is not harming the person and is just not accepted or understood by society and the establishment.
Aspects of Life. These are the four parts of a person. Body, Mind, Spirity, and Self. Self is manifested in two ways, the Awareness (which includes both consciousness and subconsciousness) is the mental embodiment of self, and the Soul is the spiritual emodiment of self. For more about this read the section, Aspects of Self.
Age. Now this is always a fun topic. Whenever someone asks me how old I am I ask them back, "Do you want to know my age physically, mentally, spiritually, or totally?" You see because there are four seperate apects of life there are also four different ages that each person has. Their physical age is how old their body is. I am 19 physically. Their mental age is a variable that can alternate depending on the cicumstances. My mental age fluxuates between 10 and 30 (interesting since my physical age is almost exactly in the middle of those two numbers.) Spiritual age is how long your life force has existed. This is a confusing concept and many people will choose to ignore it. My spiritual age is a number too large to calculate with a human mind. The Total age, is the age of the Self. This is always the same, Eternal. All Self is infinite. Self has always been and always will be even if it has no body, mind or spirit. Do not think that just because Self is eternal that you are immortal. A person is made up of all four parts. When the body dies, your mind and spirit continue on because they are the embodiment of Self. However if you really truly die spiritually, you are DEAD! Poof, gone, no more, DEAD. Your Self cannot live without a spiritual existance. You loose that and you loose it all. So back to the topic of age.
Age (Continued). Now age is interesting because people always weigh so much of their judgement based on the physical age of the person they are judging. Well I say, "What's age got to do with it?" Really? Can you tell me. If we all actually have four seperate ages and the only one you are basing your judgements on is physical then how can it be an accurate judgement (as if any judgement is accurate or acceptable.) I say that no judgement, or laws should be based on age at all because of the inaccurate assumption that physical age is something of importance. Maybe if more laws were based on maturity instead of age we would have a society that wasn't so destructive and dangerous. Like come on, take smoking and drinking. Every teenager and their dog either does it or has tried it, and yet the law says that you have to be 19 to purchase either tobacco products or alchol. That is plain bullshit. What does age have to do with it? Wouldn't it be better to allow those teenages to experiment and find out what the dangers are before they are of driving age? Or do you like to have drinking drivers? I think it is stupid myself. Then there is driving itself. On a farm there are 13/14 year old kids who have to drive the farm equipment. But unless they are in Alberta where you can get a special learners licence when you are 14, they will have to wait until they are 16 before they can even get a learners, and now here in British Columbia they have made it so that even with your learners you are going to be at least a year before you ever see your photo id. Like give me a break, graduated licenses are fine, but if you are going to use them then base the tests more on maturity and do not have any age restriction on it (except that the person has to be tall enough to be able to drive safely...) Now with driving there is always going to have to be a minimum because of height and the maturity to deal with the problems of driving. What else can be said about age? Lots. I have always been looked down upon and treated like a child because of my young age. That really pisses me off. When I was 11 and 12 I told some of these ideas that I am writing now to some certified psychiatrists and psychologists that had the job of trying to figure out what was wrong with me. Upon telling them my ideas they just laughed and told me that I should stick to the cartoons and stop trying to be an adult when I am just a kid. What the hell does age have to do with maturity? Huh? I have been thinking about the so called real world and everything that goes on in it since I can remember. When I was 7 or 8 I would say how things could be done better and how things could change. I read newspapers and magazines from the time I could read! I became interested in politics from the very first time I went to mean the election canadites with my parents when I was 9. I became interested in business and organizational structure even before that. Some of the ideas that went into creating the NEJVHA system that exists today were actually ideas that I used for little kids clubs when I was in kindergarten (5 years old!) It slowly changed over the years from a kids club to a organized social group (The Ablen) and my organizational system that I started when I was 6 eventually grew and changed and became the modern concept called NEJVHA. All thoughout grades 4-11 I was continually developing new ideas that were incorperated into the NEJVHA concept. At the same time I was also developing this psychology and the complete Ablenist system. Since that first kids club when I was 5 I stated that we were going to be different and that we were going to change the world. This really became my focus in grade 4 when I started to change my little club into the group that would eventually turn into The Ablen. So I ask you again What does age have to do with it? There are many other things that are judged by age, but instead of getting into them all here and now I will leave it for a later update.
